SANAP and SA Agulhas II News


The SA Agulhas II has departed on the Annual Relief Voyage to Antarctica on Thursday, 28 November 2013

28 November 2013 from SANAP Headquarters

The SA Agulhas II has departed on the annual relief voyage to re-supply our Antarctic base and take the SANAE 53 overwintering team to the base where they will spend the next 14 months.

The SA Agulhas II is expected to return on 13 February 2014 with the SANAE 52 Team lead by Adam Zieba. The DCO for the voyage is Jeremy Pietersen.

The SA Agulhas II arrives in Cape Town, V&A Waterfront Harbour on delivery from Rauma, Finland. Greeted by Tugboats and a 3 gun salute.
